Nurse Spotlight: Tylor Thuirer, RN, REVIV Las Vegas
What I do for work
I am a registered nurse with REVIV, a global wellness company specializing in IV drip therapy and vitamin injection services. I work at our Las Vegas clinics, where I provide personalized nutritional support by delivering essential vitamins, electrolytes, minerals, and antioxidants through IV therapy. What sets us apart is our ability to customize treatments based on each client’s unique health goals and nutritional needs. Whether they seek hydration support, an immune system boost, energy enhancement, or recovery assistance, we offer a variety of IV blends tailored to their specific wellness goals.
How I got here
I started my career in healthcare in 2009 as an EMT and volunteer firefighter. Both experiences ignited my passion for helping people during their most vulnerable moments. What came out of that was a desire to pursue my Associate of Applied Science degree and complete a paramedic program in 2011.
Immediately after obtaining my paramedic license, I transitioned into a specialized role in nuclear medicine, assisting with nuclear cardiac stress testing procedures. My role allowed me to travel throughout southern Nevada and northern Arizona, providing essential diagnostic services in outpatient settings. I collaborated with nuclear medicine technologists and cardiologists, learning the importance of precision in medical procedures and gaining exposure to advanced diagnostic techniques.
In 2013, as REVIV prepared to launch in Las Vegas, I became intrigued by their revolutionary IV wellness therapy concept. Though initially uncertain about this emerging field, I was inspired by their innovative approach to preventive health. After joining as a paramedic, I recognized our owners’ transformative vision for health and nutrition and knew I wanted to contribute.
Over the years, I progressed through various leadership roles within the company, eventually advancing to management positions where I oversaw multiple Las Vegas clinics and assisted with expansion efforts elsewhere.
While I valued the management aspect of it, I missed direct patient interaction and the hands-on care approach that initially drew me to healthcare.
This realization led me to return to school to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. So, while working with REVIV part-time, I completed my nursing degree in 2022, gaining experience in various hospital settings, including pre-op/PACU, cardiac cath lab, and medical ICU. In 2024, I decided to begin working full-time as a staff nurse at REVIV.

A day in my life
My day begins with our morning huddle, where we review the day’s scheduled appointments, including both in-clinic treatments and concierge services for clients who prefer in-room treatments at their homes or hotels. Following the huddle, I complete my morning checklist, which includes verifying that all medications are properly prepared and ready for use that day, confirming that treatment rooms are fully stocked, and completing all required documentation.
When clients arrive, I personally greet them and take the time to understand their individual health objectives, listening carefully to their concerns and goals. Then, the client fills out a detailed medical history questionnaire and a consent form.
I then escort them to their private treatment room and start the triaging process. This assessment phase is the most crucial because I conduct a thorough evaluation, including vital signs and medical history, and discuss any current symptoms and health concerns. This is also where I provide some education on their selected therapies, explaining how each component works and what they can expect during and after treatment. All treatment plans are then reviewed with one of our prescribing providers, who also speak with the clients to ensure medical appropriateness and safety.
Once medical clearance is obtained, I proceed with treatment administration. This may involve placing IV catheters for infusion therapy or administering intramuscular injections, depending on the client's selected services. For IV treatments, I carefully prepare customized medication mixtures according to our established protocols and formularies, ensuring precise dosing based on the client's specific needs. Patient monitoring during treatment is continuous. After treatment, I provide detailed instructions about what to expect in the hours following their therapy, potential side effects to monitor, and recommendations for optimizing their results.
What I find most rewarding about my job
The most profoundly rewarding aspect of my work is witnessing the immediate, tangible impact our treatments have on clients’ well-being and quality of life. There’s something truly special about seeing someone arrive feeling depleted, fatigued, or unwell, and then observing their transformation as they receive the nutritional support their body needs.
My self-care routine (or what I do for fun, or to relax)
Maintaining that balance of work and normal life is essential. Spending quality time with friends and family forms the foundation of my personal wellness routine. I’m passionate about exploring Las Vegas’s diverse foodie scene and regularly seek out new restaurants to try different cuisines and dining experiences. Golf serves as both a physical activity and a mental relaxation for me. Spending time at the driving range provides a meditative break from work and life stressors. I also enjoy taking advantage of the many entertainment opportunities that come with living in Las Vegas, such as theatrical shows, live music, and never-ending activities.
